They differ from the "Prayers of Self-Realization" which, though also the personal experience of his own consciousness, were always intended for congregational use. These are not. Swamiji's desire to share his prayers—the earlier prayers and these—stemmed from the very motivation, inspiration and mission of his life: to awaken his fellowman to God, to his own soul, and to the divinity of life.
